Ascent Trip ReportFrom Ramhorn Springs Campground (about 5,600' elevation) hiked up Rye Patch Canyon Road to junction with a 4WD road marked 'Summit Troughs' on topo map (SE slope of mountain). Followed 4WD road up to near a small pond around 7,300' (shown on map). Ended up circling around to south side of the north summit block to reach highpoint which is marked with a large cairn and register. Patches of snow (about 1-3 inches deep) above 7,000'. On descent hiked over to southern sub-peak (7,579') before rejoining the 4WD road. The Rye Patch Canyon Road (at least up to 4WD road junction) was drivable by a passenger car and the parts of the 4WD road free of snow were in good shape save for a few short rocky and rutted segments.
