Ascent Trip ReportA fun snowshoe climb on a nice January day with friends. We followed the trail #13 for about a mile and then went off-trail up the southwest slope of the mountain. The snowshoes didn't sink into the snow too far since it was consolidated mostly. It was a bit steep in places on our route, but it didn't take too long to get to the top, where we had lunch. Saw some nice views and sun when the fog cleared a bit!
Then we trekked back down, which was fun since we could sometimes "ski" or slide down the slopes with our snowshoes on, etc.
A great midday-hike for winter fun!
