Ascent to Mount Hood-Triangle Moraine on 2018-01-15
|Date:||Monday, January 15, 2018|
|Ascent Type:||No Summit Goal|
|Point Reached:||Mount Hood - Triangle Moraine|
| Elevation:||9550 ft / 2910 m|
Ascent Trip ReportSkiing with friends at Timberline, then a trek to the top of the Triangle Moraine from the Palmer snowcat. Perfect conditions for booting up; awful for skinning or skiing down. Thankfully I left my skis at the top of Palmer, then skied down and had the run all to myself!
I ran into a single climber (late in the day) on my ascent, and another person skinning up on my descent, but I had from 9000' up all to myself.
