Ascent Trip ReportA dirt track with a whack .... 1 mile, 36 minute RT.
I had trouble with Hans Haustein's TR, couldn't follow/understand-it. This is a very easy county.
We found our way to the JCT of Columbia Road 62/117 and drove north on 117 for .45 miles to a dirt road on both sides of the road, we parked on the left side. This was our TH (33.41255,-93.24020), both sides of the road are posted. The HP is to the east.
I walked the dirt road east .3 miles to a Hunter's Stand at a N-S fence line (both sides of the fence line have a grass track), I turned left (north) and went 100 yds to the crest of the ridge, then stepped over the broken fence line on the right and continued/bushwhacked northeast 120+ yds to the HP. Nothing obvious, the woods have fairly dense underbrush, however like any whack there is always a way. I had to stomp-around-some in order to ensure my HP.
