Ascent Trip ReportI hiked the trail up the ridge to the cliffs, all the while wondering where the actual path through the cliffs is. You don't see it until you're literally 5 feet from it. Had no trouble scampering up the scramble bits and up to the plateau. Day was cold, blustery and heavily overcast, so I didn't have the best conditions for photos. If I sat still, I got a chill, so I kept moving. I made the round-trip hike in 2 hours, 15 minutes. I was surprised I hiked it that quickly. I am sure others have hiked it faster, but bear in mind, I am big and old.
Road was in good condition, 2wd could handle it. No troubles finding trailhead, or staying on route. Glad to finally get this interesting "peak", which is in my home state, but feels like a Nevada summit.
