Ascent Trip Report

There is a good duck at the trail head as well as some old boards. Trail is ducked and sparsely taped all the way to the peak. Steep in sections and just enough boulder hopping and variety of terrain to make the hike interesting. There is a new sign post indicating the Peaker/Bailey Trail. Probably not a good idea to turn left onto this trail, as evidently, it doesn't go to the peak. We stayed on the same trail and continued to climb. The trail up the side of Iron Spring is in fairly good shape, but could use a little clipping in spots, as there are branches closing in on the trail. Plenty of Ribbon Woods lining the trail. Evidently, there is an "iron" spring about 1 1/4 mile from the peak. This area isn't very popular, despite the fact that it's a really neat hike.

I lost my cream colored bandana. It has wildflowers from Joshua Tree on it. Please contact me if found. Thank you.
