Ascent Trip Report

I planned this peak a couple of years ago, along with many others. I definitely had another peak (with a nice trail all the way) in mind when I started this. There is a trail starting up this drainage. But when it squeezes into a narrow canyon, it becomes a nasty bushwhack. Plus, 20 minutes in, I realized I'd forgotten my liter of Gatorade, 1/4 of my liquid supply. I thought I could make it if I moved efficiently. Bogged down in this canyon, I had to turn back. Next time I'll walk up the road in the main valley, and take the ridge north.
