Ascent Trip ReportWhat a nice hike, compared to Silver Bell the day prior!
Trail the whole way. Took less time that we expected, not a lot more than 2 hours.
From the initial edge of the upper plateau, walk around the rim on the east side on a nice trail, losing about a hundred feet and regaining it past a saddle. Look for a cairn, and cut cross country a couple hundred yards to the HP, eliminating an annoying circular trail that goes out beyond the true summit before doubling back to it. Nice large cairn at the top.
The drive in was flat, but rutted and sandy in spots. We saw a Subaru in there, and indeed several vehicles, but no one else on the peak all day. Turn left at the sign for it half way in, park at the end of the road, there is a kiosk even.
