Ascent Trip Report

Ascended this peak with two other hikers, starting at the trailhead adjacent to the parking area on the south lakeshore at N 48° 39.418 W 122° 49.078 at elevation of approximately 939 feet. Snow began appearing at around elevation 1,200 feet. I was hiking with two less experienced climbers, one was fit and was able to hike relatively fast but the other was is less fit shape and took longer to make the ascent. Thus, three of us made the hike to the summit on that day. There was around a foot of snow on the ground at the summit and it was relatively cool and cloudy. While at the summit, I recorded a panoramic video on my phone which I expect to upload to YouTube, as well as a GPS track. On the descent, we elected to walk down the road, in part because it was getting dark and also to find the geocache GC464T2 at N 48° 39.519 W 122° 50.068.

After the ascent, we enjoyed soaking in the hot tubs and sitting in the sauna at the Doe Bay Resort and Retreat,
