Ascent Trip ReportThe register was placed by Wes Shelberg and Paul Frieman in 1993. Register is only about half full after 24 years. Tricky navigation. It is easy to confuse where the summit is because a different point is labelled "Split Mountain" on the USGS topo (which I visited on a different trip) and another ridge 0.4 miles SE is almost as high.
See this explanation from Wes Shelberg on the measurement of the high point and placement of the register in 1993.
