Ascent Trip ReportIt was calm and overcast at the resort when we jumped onto the Kosciuszko Express chairlift, yet clear blue skies and a cool breeze awaited us at the trailhead.
This trail is a very easy 8+ mile round trip walk from the top of the lift. In fact, it's not really a trail - it's a raised "cat-walk" for roughly 5 of the 6.5 kilometers. This cat-walk was constructed to preserve the fragile habitat in the area, and as a result it smoothes out the uneven terrain.
Even though it was an easy hike, it is one of my most rewarding. This is because it was the first time my daughter, Cindy, accompanied me on a summit hike, not to mention the summit being one of the original 7 summit of the world.
Thank You Cindy for joining me on this hike. I love you...
