Ascent Trip ReportLola and I left the house around 9:00 AM and made the same trip as before, except I followed the road along the power lines another mile or so then turned right. That road ended in 1.9 miles, but placed us in a good spot to start the hike. I departed the truck at 10:15 AM. I pretty much followed the big wash taking right turns at the “Y”s in order to reach the saddle closest to where I had finished our hike before. It was uneventful and an enjoyable time in the wash.
I made it to the first peak around 11:50 AM, took pictures and headed for the next summits. I stopped at each one, took pictures and moved along. I reached the fourth and final summit for the day at 12:50 PM. The register there was place in 1986 by Gordon McLeod and Barbara Lilley. It has an old Los Angeles Rams football logo on the cover. Only seven people have signed the register and that was on three occasions; so I was the eighth person on the fourth occasion. Not a lot of people climb these summits!
After spending ½ an hour on the top I headed pretty much straight down into a wash. Following that wash eventually led to the “Y” and rejoined the wash I started up. I was back at the truck at 2:00 PM. I made it home at 3:30 PM.
