Ascent Trip ReportThe trailhead for this hike is in Hualapai Mountain Park, which is a Mohave County Park. There is a fee to park there for the day, which is currently $7. We arrived early in the morning, so there was nobody in the kiosk to collect the fee -- we used the iron ranger to pay it. Right after we parked at the trailhead, a ranger came up and cited the car next to us because they hadn't paid the fee.
The trail to the summit is pretty straightforward, on a maintained trail and dirt road most of the way. The last part has some thorny bushes and rocks to scramble over, but nothing too bad. We were able to move pretty quickly, getting to the summit and back to the car in about 3-1/2 hours. |
