From the road at about 4100' we headed east onto a broad ridge. We crawled under a fence at about 4200' but saw no signs posted. Once off the first ridge we decided to take a direct approach towards the summit, topping out on a saddle below and to the NW of the summit. From here we traversed east across talus slopes and up to a saddle on the north ridge, then climbed south on the ridge to the summit. We decided to take a less steep route down due to the loose steep slopes we had climbed. We worked north down the ridge around a few rock outcroppings to just above the saddle at 5440'. We then descended a broad ridge and crossed a few washes to return to the trailhead.
