Ascent Trip ReportHiking in the mountains seems to turn into a hike in the desert after a fire. The Wrightwood fire devastated the area around Circle Mountain, although some regrowth is beginning. Two lone pines toward the beginning of the hike provided the only shade. There are a few carins on the false summit; Circle is NE of the mound with the cairns. Not sure the reason they're there??? Red coffee can is on Circle along with a new register that (it appears) was placed by the Doggetts. Drier than dry weather; not planning on any wildflowers during the upcoming season, since we didn't get any rain in the fall, which seems to determine the abundance or lack thereof. Some small Poodledog Bushes beginning to grow and waiting to pounce.
