Ascent Trip ReportUp via Sandwich Mountain Trail started at 0820. The crossing of Drake's Brook was a bit tricky due to ice covered rocks but trekking poles helped a lot. Four miles later reached the summit at 1110. No views today with the clouds. I had not put on traction aids on the way up but did for the descent. We climbed the .2 mile side trail to Jennings Peak and then took Drakes Brook trail back to the trailhead arriving at 1:45. Total hike 8.6 miles 5 hours 25 minutes. |
