Ascent Trip Report

A very nice trail, easy, switchbacked and well maintained. Still parked across the street from dong Cuyamaca Peak, finally a hike with some nice views. The fire, of course spoiled a lot of this hike too but not nearly as much as the other peaks in the area. The steeper terrain and granite slabs brake up the terrain and make it more interesting. There was a lot of people going up today and many not in very good shape. At the summit you can go off trail on some nice granite slabs and boulders and do some scrambling in and around the summit. I had a nice lunch at the summit and then came down looking for another target.
