Ascent Trip ReportAnother bog trot from the quarry on Waddington Fell.
Tackled Easington Fell first by following the fence-line and then wall. Once the edge of the woodland is reached, the summit cairn soon comes into view. A fairly uninspiring hill though will a nice long distance view to Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent.
Varied the return slightly so that we followed the footpath to Walloper Well. From there we crossed the road and ascended Waddington Fell as insurance against someone coming along later to re-survey it and Easington Fell and deciding that Waddington Fell is higher. A squelchy trail follows the fence around the quarry workings and up to the summit trig and slightly higher ground at the corner of a wall.
