Ascent Trip ReportThere are two ways to get to this lookout, both of them take you by the Kloshe Nanich Lookout. One way is a strenuous, 6.4 mile round trip day hike with 2,200 feet of elevation gain. The trail switchbacks up through forests to a lookout.
My original plan was to stay at one of the campgrounds on the way and hike up first thing in the morning. However I arrived late on a friday evening and all campgrounds sites were full (well at least Fairholme by Crescent Lake and Klahowya Campground). So rather than driving to the trailhead and camping there I drove up to Kloshe Nanitch Lookout and slept in the car. This made for a short hike first thing in the morning and some great views of the stars that evening. The road just past the Kloshe Nanitch Lookout is gated with some spots to park. The gate does say no trespassing but obvious foot path on either side of the gate.
