Ascent Trip Report

Listed as one of the easiest Mountains of the NE48, I hiked this mountain with my wife Cheryl and dog Wes. Although only 4 miles RT, it is all climbing for 2 miles. Unfortunately it was a very overcast day, and we had intermittent rain. The top was unique with a great big pile of rocks marking the summit, but really no views. The clearing was large, but windy and cold, so we quickly had our lunch (including Wes), took some pictures, and quickly turned around and hiked back down the mountain. Because we got a late start, and were stuck in traffic (it was columbus day weekend) we ended up needing headlamps as we arrived at the car.
