Ascent Trip ReportA cold but clear fall day. Hiked with Gary Southwick and Stephanie Mattson. Another beautiful day. This was the last of my 48. We got started at 8:45am and finished at 6pm when it was getting very dark. But made it safely. The trail up is very rocky and bouldery. Once in the clear by Glen's Boulder it was a great view. A cutover trail from Glen Boulder trail to Davis Path could have cut a mile off this very long day of 12 miles total. Perhaps the toughest of all the 48 that I remember doing. We had to crawl under some blown down trees from the noreaster storm that blew threw the week before. Nicely greeted by Gray Jays that, that landed on my hand and Gary's head to eat some granola we gave them.
