Ascent Trip Report

First of five Louisiana parishes I was able to visit today. Parked along LA 15 and walked through the woods southwest of the Corps of Engineers lock facilities to the CoHP. No signs or fencing were observed entering the woods to deter access. CoHP is located on a small knoll that's easily observable as you walk out of the woodline. It's mowed/maintained and has a few scattered live oaks and a small garden food plot that appears to have been planted to attract deer. A small dump truck-sized pile of dirt had recently been placed near the listed coordinates. Overall an easy visit with about a 0.9 mile round trip trek from the highway.
