Ascent Trip Report

I hurt my knee descending Mt Marcy the day before, so when I attempted Algonquin Peak, I realized that my knee would keep me from descending safely. Not wanting the day to be a total waste, I took the consolation prize of Mt. Jo. It's a nice winter hike on a steep trail, but quite easy. If the clouds weren't so low, I would have had a great view from the summit. The staff at the Loj told me that people actually get lost/stranded on Mt. Jo. Amazing... If you cannot find your way down this mountain to the well-lit lodge at the bottom, you deserve to spend the night out there learning a lesson... Pics
