Ascent Trip Report

Climbed from grouse ridge to glacier lake. Road to grouse ridge was much tougher than described. No problem navigating with a Subaru, but very rough. Beautiful warm fall day, with absolutely no wind. Climb was really nice. I couldn't find a really good description of climb above glacier lake, but pretty obvious once you are there. Skirt glacier lake around to right, climb up across the bowl back to the left (north east). A game trail can be found to the left of the talus field up to ridge. Traverse across the ridge back to the right. Climb over the first false summit with some class 2 or very easy class 3 climbing. Once over the first false summit, climb down to the left (south) is the easiest traverse around the large blocks on the ridge (although I did go up an over on the way back, all class 2 climbing). On reaching the summit block, there is two obvious chutes of class 3 climbing two the top. Both are about the same in difficulty (although I thought the one to the left was easier to descend). Altogether amazing day
