Ascent Trip ReportA short boat ride to Champlain Point (Tip of Tongue) took our group of six trampers to lake shore explorations and a climb of the Tongue Mountain Range to ever rising panorama above Lake George and back to Bolton Landing, while meeting along our way another group descending to the boat landing, a solo hiker walking the complete loop and in small wilderness neighbor to one in our group; over a long, tiring day of roller coaster elevation gain (2650') we reached up to three awesome summit rest stops enjoying views, foliage and converse before our final welcome descent from the Fifth Peak Lean-to and Vista.
