Ascent Trip Report***Sierra Club Outing***
led by Mat Kelliher, Mike Dillenback
Headed up into the Lake Arrowhead Area to get Pilot Rock, Mount Marie Louise, and The Pinnacles on a hot autumn day. Drove 4WD equipped Ford F150, Chevy Colorado, and an AWD Suburu Outback all the way out to Pilot Rock without incident. Road was a bit rough in spots, High Clearance needed, 4WD maybe not.
Getting to the actual top of Pilot Rock requires an awkward Class 4 move followed by a bit of Class 3. We just got to the foot of the summit block and called it climbed from there.
