Ascent Trip Report(100% of the group who started the trail)
This was a great hike, a decent workout, and it had amazing views. The technical part of the climb (upper class 3) looks impossible from a distance but isn't bad when you actually get to it. There are a fair number of cairns and some double black painted stripes (resembling equal signs) that mark the way, most of the way, but it would really help to have one who had done it in your group.
In addition to the summit, the natural bridge is an amazing sight.
Note that there is a fair amount of up and down on this trip- the summit of Bridge Mountain is only about 500 feet above the trailhead, but it is not the high point (nor is the trailhead the low point). |
