Ascent Trip ReportAbout 12" of snow on the ground with drifts up to waist deep by the time you get to the National Park boundary sign at 6600'. There were multiple groups enjoying the views at the saddle but none attempted the scramble to the lookout. You could probably get up there, but getting across those boulders would be slow-going and risky with this amount of snow -- too much to clearly see what's beneath you, but not enough to keep from postholing. Another day.
Trail up is snow-covered from below Sibley Peak but nicely packed. Poles and microspikes helpful for slick slush on the descent.
