Ascent Trip Report

Last few hundred feet below summit I'd recommend staying right (follow outside tracks) on the ascent and avoid hitting the ridge crest too soon...otherwise it's excessive boulder hopping to nowhere and then backtracking. Staying low until just below the summit can help you hit a wide gully between the 1st and 2nd set of summit blocks (true HP is the 3rd cluster coming from the saddle), so as to avoid some unnecessary downclimbing.

Not sure about the mileage and gain displayed here. I'm getting anywhere between 19.1 to 19.9 to 21.4 miles for the same set of GPS Tracks. Total gain I would estimate between at least 6,700 and 7,000, though I've seen stats for the same route at 7,500 (might be a tad too high).
