Ascent Trip ReportQuick pre-dawn visit before breakfast. Found the trig but didn't spot the twin summit on the map until we were back home - Doh!
Trig point 1565m (with IGN plaque) is at N44 07 14.1 E3 34 46.5, in a tiny walled enclosure N side of track beside buildings, just E of car park.
NW summit is at N44-08-02, E3-34-05, called le Portalet and Poste de Vigie on IGN mapping, also 1565m.
We had stayed overnight at Hotel Sully, Meyrueis. Charming town and excellent hotel - cheap, comfortable with great food. E121 between the 3 of us, all in. |
