Ascent Trip ReportI have been foiled at least two times that I remember in climbing this peak, most recently last Friday when an early season snowstorm blanketed the mountains. I decided to finally check it off on my way back from my tour of the Eastern Sierra. The ridge was a "dumb slog" to quote a previous summit register entry, but the final scramble was a little exciting. It was slightly smoky but visibility was still good -- I could see as far as Ritter/Banner to the south. Round trip time was a quick 3h20m: 1h45m up, 15m at summit, 1h20m down.
