Ascent Trip ReportThere is a Summitpost page for this peak suggesting if ascending from the south and east to take the 1st major saddle south of the peak, this is very steep and loose (although we did find the best petrified wood stumps I have ever seen, giants over 10 feet in diameter (~8400-8600 feet) with roots intact!). we descended further south at the next major saddle, sataying to the south of the 1st stream/drainage and found it to be both less steep, and much less loos and rocky with easier bushwacking and many game trails that can be used. Although a longer route the north ridge seems very nice and doable with the additional benefit of a trail up though the forested segment and then an undulating ridgewalk to the summit. Great vies of the Beartooths, Trout and Francis. Too smoky to see west for Tetons and Madisons.
