Ascent Trip Report

Until a fire comes through, Mount Annie is a dumpster peak. The only redeeming value is that the road is in great shape the entire way to where I parked.

I snuck this one in at the end of the day, basically racing the sunset. The first mile of the road has seen some logging activity in recent years, which falsely lulled me into thinking that this one might be pretty easy. Nope, that portion of the road ends and the road is littered with blowdown the rest of the way. The summit being in the trees has no views whatsoever. The only views of any sort were of Bonaparte, and that was down low above a clearcut some years back. I eventually opted for going cross country both up and down. I can't say that it was any better, but at least it was shorter.
