| Elevation:||6774 ft / 2064 m|
Ascent Trip ReportA pretty cool mountain, though trees on the summit somewhat obstruct views and the lookout is basically decommissioned. The summitpost directions are spot on. There is active logging activity in the area, and from the looks of it BIA-56 sees a fair bit of traffic. If that road were wet, I might be hesitant to go up it. It appears that the roadbed is clay and could become soft as evidenced by the ruts left by the logging trucks. BIA-61 is not bad, maybe a little rough and steep on some of the lower switchbacks. I stopped about 2 miles below the summit at the snow line, because I wanted to get a little hiking in. It would have been no problem to drive all the way to the lookout.
