Ascent Trip Report

A nice afternoon short hike (1 hour RT), after checking out the two parks in the area (Megantic and Gosford). After the hike Rose and I overnighted at "Haut Bois Dormant", B&B in Notre-Dame-des-Bois (warm hosts Julie and Pascal), just South of Le Parc National du Mont-Megantic.
Tomorrow I will climb Megantic's 4 main summits, Gosford I will leave for another trip ..... surrounded by the Canada/USA border, I want to combine/plan Gosford together with a number of other Peaks situated on this border (for my list "Maines 3500 foot Peaks").

Mont Scotch is located West of Saint-Augustin-de-Woburn on the Northside of Hwy #212 ...... the TH is the gated "Privee" woods road, 4km West of Woburn (.8km West of Rang Tout de Joie - road to Gosford) or 14km East of Notre-Dame-de-Bois.
The wide woods road winds moderately/steep up the South flank of the Mountain to the summit ridge, to the right (East) is the High Point .... about 50 feet into the woods, a pink flagged tree marked the spot, a good path descends towards the East (to destination unknown). Open views to the North and South.
