Ascent of Spaulding Mountain on 2017-09-24
|Date:||Sunday, September 24, 2017|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||4000 ft / 1219 m|
Ascent Trip ReportPretty sore after hiking the Bigelows the day before, but my legs woke up after the steepest part ascending to the ridge between Spaulding and Sugarloaf. Very hot day, sun beat down on the ascent up the cirque. Spaulding was a nice long ridge walk over, fine view over to Sugarloaf. Sugarloaf was spectacular, 360 degree views as advertised. Abandoned structure at top was open, so did a lil exploring. Fun stuff.
