Cool scramble to Hayden Peak, elevation 12,479 ft. near Mirror Lake. I thought it was one of the quickest approaches to gain a 12,000 ft. peak in Utah.. less than one mile.. 5 miles round trip. Per Summit Post, ".. it's easiest route is at least Class 3..". However, we discovered if you take your time, Class 2 routes can be found. Although, we did bring two ropes, we didn't use them. Thanks to Andy and Kevin for a great hike!
