Ascent Trip ReportHiked up to the summit of Table Mountain from Artist Point just in time to see the sun set over the North Cascades: amazing!
The trail is in great shape; no obstacles. There is still some snow up at the top, but the trail itself is clear. Bugs weren't really a problem at all. We only encountered a few people making their way down as we were heading up, and then no one else at all (except for the couple who had pitched their tent on a meadow below the summit rather than on snow or rock). The only somewhat-sketchy thing about this hike was coming back down the steep trail in the dark; slow and careful is the way to go.
What a great hike for a late summer evening :-)
