Ascent Trip Report

Starting out from our base at Skye – the Glenbrittle Youth Hostel – we met our guide Mike who, according to the hostel keeper, knew the Cuillin Ridge better than anybody else. The weather did not look very promising, but we had a great scrambling day on the ridge practicing our climbing skills. It would have been great to continue to the Inaccessible Pinnacle, but the weather simply was not good enough. Instead we agreed with Mike – who was a really nice chap – to come back some other time and do the full Cuillin traverse.
