Ascent Trip ReportArea burned a couple years ago. Lots of charred branches reaching out to grab you. Trail is not where it is shown on the topo map. It has been relocated to a wide drainage east of the mapped route. Hard to follow in places.
The Jolon Gate at Fort Liggett was not manned. There was a new gate at the intersection of Mission and Nacimiento-Fergusson Road and I was directed to take Nacimiento-Fergusson to just before a bridge. Take a right and the road will take you back to Mission. Take two quick lefts and you are back on the normal route of Del Venturi. |
