Ascent Trip Report

The evening before our Mount Farnham attempt, Rob and I searched for the start of the climber's trail up to the southeast cirque of the Farnham group. We climbed to the top of a cutblock (clear-cut) that was in the right location, and I went right while Rob went left. I probed a bit, and in the upper right-hand corner of the cutblock I found a good footway marked with red tape, clearly the start of the climber's trail. I returned to the car, and then climbed up a bit to yell to Rob, up above the cutblock, that I found the trail. We were now more optimistic about avoiding bushwhacking on our trip tomorrow.
