Ascent Trip ReportDuring a rest day in the 2017 UCI Master's World Champinoship in Albi, France, I drove the rental to the higher area of the Tarn department and visited the highpoint area. It was a 70 km drive one way and the temperature dropped from 35C in Albi to 22C at the highpoint. The road up was built for the radio, phone and TV installation on top. The top area is fenced and without entry. A barb wire fence and a double gate made the exact highpoint inaccessible. The view was good.
My time was running out and I had to skip the neighboring hill, just a meter lower. |
