Ascent Trip Reportgmaps will take you to the trailhead, but it is insistent on telling you to turn onto a private road. if you head toward the city of rocks first then it'll handle the rest just fine. the road becomes extra exciting in the last 2 miles before the trailhead.
the trail to the saddle is great, but i couldn't really find any trail to the summit. there was a cairn or a blue ribbon here and there, but they didn't seem to form a solid trail.
