Ascent Trip Report

From roads end, walk 3/4 mile north on decommissioned road (visible as Rd 130 on topo) along fence line from parking area. This has been cut out for an ATV path that winds on and off of the road around downed trees for the full distance and this is usually the path of least resistance. Turn off road to the east and find a waist-high rock among the plentiful deadfall. I could not see any other likely candidates for the highpoint while standing on this boulder or wandering across downed logs. (Another 10-15 foot high outcrop to the south looks more impressive from the road, but is only 3-4 feet high on the north and east sides and sits in a lower contour.)

This defines "unspectactular summit." Only glimpses of hills through the trees and of Gearhart Mtn on the way back down the road.
