Ascent Trip Report

Drove in on Rd 165 a couple hundred yards to where the trees were starting to take over again and followed this as it dwindled to a trail through an old logging unit to a rough junction at the foot of a steeper slope - it looked like it ended at an old cat road crossing the foot of the slope. From there it was simply taking a bearing for the ridge up through the trees. Some patches of downed timber, but easier to navigate than a lot of the dead forest trails I have been on recently. Once out to the open summit ridge it was easy to head NW to the summit rocks. Had to do a bit of tromping through the low brush surrounding the summit (but nothing like Rogger the following day - this stuff was ankle to thigh deep). Found a seam on the west side that led to some easy scrambling to the primary summit. Checked out the lower north summit too before heading back the same way I came.
