Ascent Trip ReportApproached via Kautz Creek trail. Off-trail behind Ranger's cabin is very overgrown. Little, if any, signs of any boot paths heading toward saddle. Was mainly a brush-bash accompanied by flies, bees, mosquitoes on a hot smokey day with no breezes. Made it to the saddle, but ran out of time and desire. Will return late summer/fall when the air is cooler and cleaner and the bugs are gone.
I strongly recommend gps and map/compass. |
