Ascent Trip Report

Spending the night in the charming Coma Pedrosa hut, we had planned for a really early start towards the summit. However, the most intense thunderstorm that we had ever experienced continued well into the morning so we had no choice but to wait. We then did a first attempt around 7am, but had to turn around after about 15 minutes because of further thunder in the area. After a couple of hours of the waiting game in the hut, we informally teamed up with a Spanish family and started to walk to the summit. This time we were lucky insofar that the thunder was gone, but it would have been nice to avoid the extremely heavy shower half-way up and to have been able to enjoy the view that we believe must have been great (we were walking in a cloud most of the day…). ;-)
