Ascent Trip ReportThis hike really redeemed the weekend. It finally stopped raining around 6AM and things dried out a little bit. The trail was much steeper than I expected and much of the upper half was either on rock slab or mud. We did our best to stay dry. The views were beautiful, and the weather very pleasant while in the trees.

Looking down on Lonesome Lake from Cannon

There was considerable wind at the summit, but that is expected.

The way down was also smooth. All in all a great hike, and definitely needed after the disappointing day before. |
