Ascent of Piz Boè on 2017-07-30
|Date:||Sunday, July 30, 2017|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||10341 ft / 3151 m|
Ascent Trip ReportA Dolomites classic, cable car then 40mins ascent including very easy Via ferrata, and hot chocolate at the summit refuge.
Pordoi Pass cable car runs 9 til 5, every 10mins. We arrived soon after 9. Obvious trail from top station Sasso Pordoi dropping 120m to a refuge then continuing via an easy cabled scrambly section to the summit, boulder with small cross atop. Very busy summit with folk arriving all the time. Half hour with hot chocolate and a superb view then back down. Then head for Civetta hut.
