Ascent Trip ReportSouth Arête Route is truly a trade route. The climbing is mostly 4th/ low fifth class with the first pitch mostly 5th class. Great protection abounds which makes this a good first alpine climb for new trad leaders. Three good rap stations that connect from the top of the second pitch. Tat is in good condition. The rest of the descent requires down-climbing from summit block to the top of the second pitch, which can be a bit nerve wracking.
